Website of the Week
Whether you are interested in getting the more nutrition
from your food, or ensuring farm animals are treated humanely, or want your
food to be raised in an environmentally friendly manner, the Eatwild.com website has something for you!
“Eatwild.com is owned and operated by Jo Robinson, an
investigative journalist and New
York Times bestselling author
who specializes in science-based health information. Jo has been investigating
the differences between wild plants and game and the foods in our supermarkets
for the past 15 years.”
I found the website by looking for sources for grass-fed
beef, because I have heard so much about the bad environmental effects of feed
lots, to say nothing of the unpleasant surroundings for the cattle
themselves. I also worry about eating
meat from animals raised with too many antibiotics and steroids. The Eat Wild site began by specializing in
information about pasture raised animals but has expanded to include
information on organic and locally produced fruits and vegetables as well. Jo
includes many charts and graphs and articles from other ‘experts’. She also provides links to numerous other
websites which can provide additional information.
Do yourself a favor and check out the Eatwild.com website today!
