Database of the Week

Looking for an all-in-one visually engaging database that offers: images, primary sources, historical background and contemporary issues to support your research?

Check out The American Mosaic's Latino American Experience Database!

With a layout that is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate, this database offers a variety of ways to tackle your research. Similar to a website, the landing page features articles discussing the work of leading scholars as well as the latest policy and movement trends. Within the left column, you'll find a "Research And Study Center" that enables you to explore chronological history, from the Maya Empire to the New Millennium. While to the the right, you'll find the option to progress to an advanced search in the upper corner, suggested primary sources featured in the side column, and related sources as you scroll to the bottom.

This site is packed with information and presents information rich with text and visual images, offering a kaleidoscopic lens through which to examine and perform research on Latino American history, culture, politics, and more.
